The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), held annually in early January in Las Vegas, has become the world's gathering place for technological innovation. Since starting in 1967 with 250 exhibitors and 17,500 attendees, CES has grown into one of the largest trade shows in the world - with over 3,200 exhibitors and 170,000 attendees at CES 2024.
Walking through the multiple convention centers and sprawling exhibit halls this year, the cutting-edge consumer electronics and technological creativity on display at CES 2024 did not disappoint. Our team from Jazz Computing explored the show to get hands-on with the latest and greatest tech that will shape the year ahead.
The dominant themes we witnessed at CES centered around Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics. As GenAI is at the peak of its all time hype cycle, every exhibitor pushed their product to integrate emerging capabilities in artificial intelligence and machine learning to achieve smarter, smoother and more personalized experiences across devices. For example, there was an AI chair, an AI-personalized make-up maker, an AI-enabled pet collar, smart rings, smart shoe insoles, etc. Some of the AI applications that caught our eyes were the application of virtual-twins technology in patient-care, e-commerce co-pilots and a weather-pattern predictor at scale.
On the Robotics front, we saw the coffee-making robot, the autonomous street sweeper, the under-water pool cleaning robot, in addition to multiple demos of ultimate motion performance robots. Check out some of the demos captured in the highlights photo below.
The annual Consumer Electronics Show clearly showcases where enterprise and consumer technology is headed.
